Default WSOP sat....checking the end to induce a bluff.....

$30 Rebuy on Stars.
189 started, about 60 left.

I have the chiplead w/ 59K and I'm far ahead of the guy in 2nd.

Blinds 200/400 a25.

I open to 1100 in LMP w/ A6. Button coldcalls (16k). Heads up w/ 3k in the pot.

865 two clubs and I don't have one.
I bet out 2k and he calls.

Turn offsuit King, two flush draws now.
I bet 4800 and he calls.

River 2, backdoor flush gets there.
I check. Pot is 16k and he has 8k left. He moves in....

Comments appreciated. thanks.

Tyler please explain your turn bet. It is the reason you are having trouble with this hand. I think it is a horrible bet.

Call me weak tight, but I don't see you ahead here. Would he call you down with A5?

Well he just calls the flop which means it's more likely that he's drawing, no?

Thought about this for a moment, and I'm wondering if a C/R on the flop would have been best. Whether he's drawing or not, I'd expect you'd like to take this pot down ASAP. Raising PF, and then C/Ring a ragged board on the flop shows way too much strength for him to call with his KQ or what have you. Agree though that since you did lead out on the flop that your turn bet is the problem. I'd check it down there and try to read his bet, and if he checks as well, then that's fine too.

So I think a C/R on the flop would probably be best. A) it likely shows enough strength for him to drop it there, B) will let you know where you are if he reraises you, and C) you can likely assume he's drawing big if he does call your reraise.

We going to get any results, or did you fold?

Strassa, could you explain why you hate the turn bet? I think many weak players will play a good range of hands like this up to the turn. Small PP, any piece of the board (trips included), flush draw, even two over cards. The point is they think you have high cards (always do), they think there is no way you hit the flop. If they miss the over card, and dont have a set, they curse your good luck with AK and fold.

I think you are ehead enough to lead there, as for the river. I think you are probably beat, not a certainty, but probable

Default Results

I folded when he moved in on the river, but thinking about it more it looks like he flopped the flush draw and missed.

If he's a bad player, that's possible. So is something like A7s. But whether he's good or bad, you're fold is correct, in my opinion.

As for the earlier plays, I'm okay with that too.
