step one time--you're powerless!

Have you really evaluated your play? That could help.

Don't play for at least two or three months. I may be old school on this, but I don't really like online gambling. Too easy to lose too much too quickly.

I *think* that I'm playing as well if not better than I have in thes past, and when I've gotten peers to watch me play they haven't thought I was tilting or anything.

It's certainly enough to sit and play for a session.

Yea you definelty need a break if 4k is pissing you off from a 40/80 game, especailly a online 40/80. Its no fun to lose 4k but it shouldnt be making it as madd as it ovbiously is.

For sure, these maniacs didn't get their money playing poker, which is what you are suggesting, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

Just because a player calls someone a "maniac" that doesn't mean that player isn't winning players. There is often a significant "reality gap" between our perceptions and the actual truth of the matter. Especially when it comes to understanding players who are likely better than us.

-4k is a very typical happening at 40/80. When I started playing higher than 15/30, the swings in $ terms were nuts, and I had become so used to the 15/30 swings that I had forgotten what it feels like to play in a new, higher limit.

You'll get used to it, just as you did at the 15/30 game.
