Default What to do on the river?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP folds, CO folds, Button folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (3 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG calls.

River: (5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 7 BB

Not the card I wanted to see. Should I be check-calling the river here? Flop? Thanks,

I would fold preflop in a ring game. I dunno about 6-max.

Bet the river. If you check and he bets, there will be a small chance that your hand is good. If you bet, he will call with more hands then he will bet if you check to him.

Small blind dude. Folding 87s here for 1/2 SB is bad.

Eh only getting 5:1 on the call and I'm OOP. UTG limp probably means more then a MP limp too. Also I'm used to a 1/3 or 2/5 blind where it is an easy fold.
