Default BB played back on the bubble

Hi all,
What would your play be here?
I didn't have a lot on the BB. He'd been pretty quiet for a while. Maybe normal bubble tightness.

Party $10+1, 1 Table

CO (2385)
Button (1660)
Hero (2685)
BB (1270)

Blinds are 150/300

Hero is in SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds. Hero raises to 600. BB Raises all in to 1270. Hero...?

Is this automatic getting nearly 3-1 versus the small(ish) stack? Is this scary because he's been relatively tight and has enough chips to wait for something decent?

Thanks.

in the situation you put yourself in, you have no decision to make. its an easy call. however, what you should have done is just go all in to begin with and put the decision to him.

You are almost certainly getting pot odds (unless he has AA). It's marginal if he has you dominated and still reasonably close if he has a good PP. A good PP has you 2-1, and a coinflip for lower pair.

If you win you are fave for 1st. If you lose you are now shortstacked but still have at placing. If you fold, it's basically a 3-way in 2nd, although you still have a chance at 1st.

I am tempted to fold here (I'd think he has a good PP or a dominating Ax) but not sure.

Usually I go for first, but I think this is an unecessary coinflip?

You have to call now (probably hating it), but there's something more important here:

What were you trying to accomplish with the minraise?
What was your plan for dealing with a re-raise?
How did the answer to that question factor into your decision to make this move?

Good questions that I don't have good answers for.

To be honest, I didn't have a plan for his push (which you probably guessed). It was a quick, not-thought-through shot at his blind. In this case, I found out the mistake pretty quickly when he raised.

I am happy with taking the blinds, so I would push.
