I played poker with Redd Foxx
In Las Vegas, many years ago. I think it was a 3-6 game. He was a miserable SOB.

Re: So I found myself multitabling and watching sanford and son
[ QUOTE ]
It's like most shows. It had plenty of bad episodes. But unlike most shows, it had Redd Foxx. And his mannerisms and gags are pretty easy to remember with fondness. Redd Foxx was a very funny guy in his stand-up, and sometimes it came through in his show. [/ QUOTE ] great comedian, bad actor, decent show. |

I like to watch my DVD set of Kung Fu when I play.
That way I combine the grace of the crane, with the ferocity of the tiger. |

[ QUOTE ]
Carlin's show definitely completely blew. [/ QUOTE ] Yea, I forgot he ever had a show until I read this thread. It really sucked. One of my favorite quotes is from Carlin: "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers." Or something like that. |

All you guys who think Redd Foxx was a great stand-up, go listen to one of his albums, and tell me if you laugh ONCE.
I'll bet you don't. And I'll even let you get a few drinks under your belt, for a head start. |

I've seen bits of his stand-up act. Cracked me up. Told the jokes I remembered to other people and cracked them up too.
