Default Poker in Amsterdam...

I'm going to Amsterdam Friday-Tuesday. I'll be with friends for a day or two, but the last couple of days I'll be alone. Looking for some information from people who have played in the city.

I searched on Google and found the "Holland Casino" located downtown in Amsterdam. Does anyone have an idea what limits or tournaments they offer? Probably not gonna find anything here, I understand, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

Do a quick search. Plenty of posts about the Holland Casino in Amsterdam. Consensus is they run mostly 10/20 limit with some tourneys during the week and with a ridiculous rake structure.

Thanks.. yea it seems like 10-20 is the minimum with tournaments Tuesday and Thursday.

Oh well, looks like I'll be forced to spend more time in the coffee shops.

The Van Gogh museum and the Anne Frank House are both cool if you have any interest in art/history/culture.

Also, the shrooms are phenomenal. Try the fresh ones.

No admission when I was there this summer, but there were some basic dress code standards (no hats, shorts, or assless pants).

If you're only going to be there for 4 days, playing poker shouldn't be on the list. Your coffee shop idea is a good start.

dude If I go back to amsterdam I ahte to say it the last place I'm going to be is the Casino.
If you got some "alone" time theres plenty of women to keep you company in the red light district

Also try hitting up every Coffee house , I tried, it was hard work!! I was there for 9 days I can clearly remember that I did "something" on about 6 of them there are 3 that are total blanks...Like seriously I don't know what happened that day, I apparently sent an e-mail to my cousin that he keeps in his inbox , its funny [censored].

When you get a Royal Flush there, they pop open a bottle of champagne for the table.

I remember only one holdem table, maybe two at the busiest time of thenight. Both were the same limit (5-10 euros I think). Omaha games were much more popular (it is europe!).

The action was pretty good, but the best part was the hottest dealer I've ever seen. I've been looking for an excuse to go back ever since.
