Default AK with small stack... limper calls and I miss :(

Just got moved to table... behind button (how lucky) and villian hadn't played a hand yet.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (10 handed) converter

BB (t3080)
UTG (t1897)
UTG+1 (t9119)
UTG+2 (t5530)
MP1 (t6315)
Hero (t3806)
MP3 (t6546)
CO (t9441)
Button (t2884)
SB (t2940)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP1 calls t300, Hero raises to t1000, 5 folds, MP1 calls t700.

Flop: (t2450) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 bets t300, Hero calls t300.

Turn: (t3050) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 bets t300, Hero pushes all-in!

How bad is this?

Dare I say... Push preflop?

Barring that I'm not too sure. I think he calls with a lot of PPs that include a diamond, and a lot of aces that include a diamond, and of course all the hands that you were already way behind.

He may find a fold with some of the lower pairs though.

I'm kinda indifferent. I just made a post about when to "mix it up" in MTTs, so maybe this is one of the spots I'm missing.

I just push it preflop though.

It's certainly an interesting play. Maybe his call of your PF raise represents overcards? I don't know. I'd love to know how it turned out though. Perhaps he hit top pair on the flop?

given how you played it i would've pushed over the top on the flop. the gay min bet into the pf raiser in a big pot is often a draw, or a marginal hand with which the villain is unwilling to call a big bet. even if he has a pair and calls you probably have 6 outs.

preflop - pushing wouldn't be horrible, though i tend not to do while still having 13 bb's and only one limper. i like raising to ~1300.
