Default Pokerroom.com WPT stage 2

Just on a whim this afternoon, I entered the $5+.50 WPT stage 1 qualifier at pokerroom.com and placed 4th! So I have a ticket to the stage 2 qualifier. 1 in 10 get a ticket to stage 3 and at stage 3, 1 in 45 go to the Bellagio ($18K).

I don't really fancy my chances too well.

Before I cash in that ticket, I think I'm going to get a tournament poker book and just make sure I've heard all the advice I can get.

Has anyone else got any good advice?

If you managed a ticket in the Stage 1, you're probably OK for the Stage 2, though if you're new to tournaments some additional study can't hurt. (HoH and TPfAP)

Where you'll really need to know what you're doing is in the final ($400+20) if you get through the Stage 2.

I played all three last month, and didn't find the play in the Stage 2 to be much different from the Stage 1, but the final seemed tougher (and it didn't help that I went all stupid).

pokerroom players are mostly very weak-tight. You can see a lotta flops and steal in good posn and steal plenty blinds.
