The problem for me was this is early in the Super and I've seen people do some pretty dumb things. We all know that there are quite a few players that always put you on AK when the flop misses that hand and therefore they think their pair is good. While he could certainly have AA, KK, Jx, I also thought he could be doing this with straight draws, 9x, and smaller pairs like 88.

Sometimes you just know you're beat and you have to lay it down.

Someone said that he would probably check call with a J. I think most of us would but he might not... I've seen lots of players get a little anxious with a nice hand. Plus, theres a good chance he'll be called even on a push in a lot of spots so he may not be giving up alot of EV. And with him playing 45% of pots we can rule out a very good player. He could even have J 9 which makes you drawing practically dead. I guess if I thought he was a decent player I'd put him on a 9 or other PP and call. If I thought he was a fish I'd throw it away.

Interesting hand.

He doesn't have a jack.

My range is:

77-1010 (excluding 99)
q-10, 10-8 (suits inconsequential)
ace-9, K-9 suited

My best guess would be 10-10 or 10-8
