Re: 100-200 Hand
Uh golferbrent, you did actually read the post, right?
THIS: [ QUOTE ] and a lot of times, when we improve powerfully we tend to forget how tenuous our situation was before the improvement occurred. that hurts in the subsequent hands when we mistakenly play a little looser than we should. [/ QUOTE ] is GOLD. It's going in my archives along with all the other elysium/Monty Cantsin insights I'm using to construct the psychological profile I want to emulate. You're missing out brent, missing out dreadfully. |

Re: Results and stuff
I'd probably have to take one off, though my hand is much weaker if I get 3 bet with that pair on board and the other player likely on a flush draw. I would have won more from her, but that wasn't her point in this hand, and that is the point.

Re: Results and stuff
Hi mike,
This was a value raise. I felt it would get better hands to lay down, and also because I thought I might have the best hand. However, I was on the fence as to where I was, but it doesn't matter unless I get 3 bet, and then I'd just have reverted to my plan of sucking out. I still can't believe that she mucked the J there, but I am certain that she had it. She's not that good of an actor. |

Re: Results and stuff
this just again shows that by playing extra strong when in doubt of exactly where you stand, you are better off.
plus having a stupid grin helps as well. being a greek god gets you nothing in poker other than all the best girls. |
