Bet on U.S.A. Live Support gave me my password!

I tried logging into Betonusa.com but couldnt remember my username so I clicked the Live Support Button:

(Me): I tried logging in but seemed to have forgotten my username
(Them): Can I have your first and last name please?
(Me): XXXXX YYYYYYYYYYY
(Them): Thank you. Just one moment
(Them): username / Password - (My Username) / (My Password)
(Me): Thank you

I cant believe they gave me the username and password just because I told them my name..I am going to email their support and ask if this is standard procedure or if it was a new operators mistake..

Wow. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen...

The standard is that they should email a NEW password (not current password) to your currently registered email address. Assuming the email address has previously been validated by you when you opened, the account, they would have little to be concerned about.

(Also, from a technical perspective, it's rather easy to make passwords be 1-way encrypted in a database via MD5 or SHA1 hashing so that they can't be retrieved by anyone...unless using brute-force to guess it.)

The court rules that the only ass clown bigger than betonusa.com would be the idiot that thinks they can file a lawsuit against them.
