Default 25/50 QQ

7 handed online. Hero is in BB with QQ.

villain is excellent player. LAG shorthanded. TAG fullgame

utg raises. folded to hero who 3bets. utg caps.

flop: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

hero checks. utg bets. hero c/r. utg calls.

turn. 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

hero bets. utg raises.

can i fold this or do i call down?

why c/r the flop?

this looks like a calldown situation to me, won't he bet AK unimproved on the turn alot?

this is a must calldown... u say he's a lag shorthanded, and 7 handed is shorthanded enough that he could be playing very agressively.... this could very easily be TT or JJ, it could be A9 (less likely judging from the cap preflop, but depending on how agressive, a possibility), it could also be AK hearts (or AQ hearts if u don't have the Q hearts).... it could very well also be AA or KK, but I think ur definitely good here enough to calldown

edit: I meant as you go into the flop, not from the turn raise

unless he is really an "excelent player" not just an aggressive good player who always puts pressure on you, you have to at least call the turn. This is a very common play with jj or 10-10 or ak hearts and take a free showdown.

This hand really strikes me as WAWB postflop. 6-7 players is the edge of shorthanded, and also by LAG shorthanded do you mean laggy in the good way shorthanded or just nutty laggy?
