Default 5/5 NL, Deep Stacks: whose ball.... boat is bigger?

5/5 NL @ Ocean's 11, $500 max buy-in. I got moved to the table several orbits ago (must move), but there's one hand preceding this one I should mention. Villain in that hand (1000) raised to 25, I called in MP, 4 to the flop.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

He bet 25, I raised to 75, all fold, he calls.
Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Check, check.
River: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bet 100, I raised to 350, he calls and instantly showed A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I mucked.

So there's the history. About 3 hands later, I am in the SB and look at 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Villain (1600) - a very tight player who I haven't seen open a lot of pots or raise that many - raises to 25, all fold, I call (got him covered). Two of us.

Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Lead for 50, he makes it 150, I call.

Turn (350): T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, he bets 150, I call.

River (650): 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet 475, he pushes all-in for 1350.... who calls?

Kirk

Edit: just to make sure there's no confusion - we're talking about two different players in those two hands. All right then.

The only way I could possibly find a fold is if this guy is one of the biggest predictable nutpeddlers I have ever played (I can only think of one player I play online that I would fold this too).

In that case the ONLY hand he could have here is TT. What else would he raise pf with and then get all his chips in with?

barring that, it is an easy call.

give him 500$ more. Call that too. Be happy that he tables 55 75% more of the time than he tables 99.

i'm pretty sure this tight player raised preflop with T7, raised your flop lead with middle pair cuz he thought you were fos, then turned a bigger 2pr and filled up on the river just as you boated up too. sucks getting cold-decked, dude.

or he has the case two 9s. or he 2-outed you (well, 5-outed you) on the turn with TT.

in any event it's def one of those 3. you only have the 4th nuts. sometimes with live hands you can just tell. easy fold.

Agreed. Given your history, this tight guy probably thinks you're a major bluffer given that you couldn't beat TP with a crappy kicker in your other hand.

I'd say 55 is possible, but also wouldn't be too surprised to see KK or AA. Does anybody else think that's possible? I think your previous hand would have set this up well.

What did he have? And yes, I call every single time.
