Default Phil Gordon Celebrity Poker analysis

OK, hand goes like this.

Dwarf dude from Station Agent has a ten. Meatloaf has KJ.

Flop is TTQ w/ two spades.

Dwarf bets 2k, Meat calls. 5k or so in pot I think.

Turn is TTQx.

Dwarf bets 1k, Meat calls. 7k in pot.

River is a small spade.

Dwarf checks trip tens. Meatloaf bets 3k. Dwarf checkraises all-in for 3200. Meatloaf folds for the last 200.

Phil Gordon said Meatloaf's fold was insanely bad. I thought it was pretty straightforward, even for 200.

Thoughts?

Why was I watching Celebrity Poker, perhaps the stupidest show ever made? Chick.

Of course it was insanely bad. He folded while he was being laid 260-to-1. You have to call on the river every time with those odds, unless yuo are at least 99.75% sure you are beat. If you are that sure you're beat, then you probably overplayed it somewhere.

Phil Gordon is wrong. Even though he's getting great odds, how often is King-hi good there? The dwarf knows he's getting called. THe only way king high is good there is if dwarf thinks meatloaf is bluffing with less than ace high. That situation arises less than 1 in 1000. therefore I still think 1 in 280 is not enough

This is Celebrity Poker, none of the players know anything.

Hhmmmm, excuse me people, have any of you ever watched an episode of this horrid show? It seems like some of the guests usually just learn how to play right before the show starts. I have seen soooo many bizarre things on this show that this would become an insta-call. I would call getting 10-1 against some of those people. I would imagine at least one guest on each show has literally no idea how to play poker.

I'm amazed they haven't invented a little hologram to pop up when someone tries to open fold that says "You have selected to fold, are you sure you don't want to check?"

Then another one that explains what checking is.

Then another one that asks them if they really want to fold when they select fold again.

Against a real poker player, it's a good fold, personally I think Phil has been watching too many celebrities play insanely bad poker and is resultingly off his nut which is why he's advocating a call there.

GREAT check on the river by the Dwarf to induce the-aggressive Meatbluff.

Fold for $200 more?? 'No I won't do that!'....
