Default I suck at table selection (low content)

So I log into Party to clear the rest of the bonus, and I hit the 2/4 bad beat tables since they are notoriously loose.

I'm 2-tabling and one of my tables tightens up, so I run a search on my fish list and see that 2 of my biggest fish are on the bad beat tables.

I pick one table over the other because the action looked better. Lo and behold, not 15 minutes later the jackpot hits on the table that I didn't pick. Not only did I miss out on $3700, but it was MY FISH who won the jackpot. I can probably temporarily scratch that fish off my list. I'd imagine that with a $50k jackpot, he'll take a shot at some higher level tables.

Meanwhile, here I sit griding it out at 2/4

Dayyyum.

That's gonna be tough to shake off. But I'm betting you will.

(Don't know why they gave me 4-1 odds at the bookis though)

you can console yourself with the fact that you probably wouldn't have won the jackpot no matter which table you happened to choose.

Eut even he'd probably have had a big payday anyway. The jackpot is split (unevenly) by everyone active at the table.

No, if you must console youself, just realize that the very act of sitting at that table (altering its timing with your play) would have been enough to change the hand that won the jackpot. You'd never have known "what could've been" -- and under a sadistic deity (like there's any other kind -- have you SEEN the world today), the jackpot might then have hit the *other* fish's table.

That did cheer you up, right? No? Sorry. The Deity made me do it!

Yeah, I know Still sucks that one of my favorite fish is now $50k richer and probably won't be mooning around at $2-$4 until he loses most of that at a higher level.

To all of you bigger limit players, have fun catching my fish!
