Turn chat off?(Low content)

Many of you recomend turning off chat while playing, but you are missing some gems like this:

I recommend having it on, to view it, but not typing to much, especially talking about bad beat, fish, bad plays, bad calls, or making bad comments. I stick to "lol", when someone goes crazy after one of my open pushes and thats it basically, I try to keep it at a minimium, and I dont even talk to friends at the table anymore, as I usually try to avoid them or just talk on AIM.

same here, I keep it open most the time but never type in it except for a "ty" or "gg" once in awhile.
