I was all set to pick up some of those NJ Desert Palm chips until I found these super hawt chips on Overstock.

There is a reason these things have ended up on overstock.com. They are HORRIBLE quality chips for all but the most entry-level games. First of tall, they aren't even clay chips... they're plastic with a metal slug inside to "bring them up to official casino 11.5g weight". NO CASINO uses 11.5g chips...especially not plastic ones. These chips dont' stack very well, they make an annoying "plinking" sound when you throw them into the pot, and worst of all, you're endorsing the biggest crybaby in the game, Hellmuth, by purchasing them.

I could go on and on about the chips but let's touch on the video and book? Rubbish. The book is great for VERY entry-level players who have little or no knowledge of the basic tenets of poker, however anyone who knows ANYTHING about the game will quickly be bored by this read. The entire premise of the book is his 4-categories of players (common sense) and his listing of the top 10 hands (do you need someone to tell you that you should play AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AK...etc?).

Don't waste your money. If you are dead set on getting these cheap plastic chips, you could get well over 1000 of them in a nicer case for half this price at a certain online auction house.

Overstock carries some excellent products but this is not one of them.
