actually i think this was a mind game.... nobody can guess the fs the first time.... then when told how many they can find that amount and not look any further. So say like granny did say no the correct amount is 6! After you find six you wouldnt look any further for more. I thought that was the correct amount. I liked the game so I told my girlfriend to look at it and count the fs so she did and she got 7 the first time which made me go back and look then I got eight. So i guess it not so hard after all!

I tired this today with my year 4 class (9 year olds), the majority of the kids got 6 f's. Only the clever ones got three.
So I reckon it is more to do with how you approach reading (sounds, or letter by letter or word by word) rather than how smart you are. It was good to see the kids who struggle beat the smarty pants kids in the class with this challenge. it also probably tells me the majority of my class struggle, must have something to do with their n00b teacher. Dink

Well, my wife and I both got 5.
When I saw the answer I looked and saw the extra F in the first "OF". Then I called in my younger daughter to look. She said "8"! I was shocked so I asked her to show me where. Boy - do I feel like a fool!
