Chicago area poker - this weekend

Hey guys, I've been in Chicago for about a month now and decided it's about time I get some live action in. I'm probably heading out to Ceasars in Gary, IN to check out the new room there. Does anyone have any advice on how to get there? I hear there's a shuttle from down,town to the Gary casinos, although I'm not sure how comfortable I am bringing a substantial amount of cash on something like that. Is anyone driving out that way that can give me a lift? I'd pay gas.

Try this phone number: 1 888 225 8259 . I found a website saying they have shuttles to the Majestic Star from Chicago, which shares the pavilion with Trump.

Trump in Gary has a shuttle that runs every two hours from China town. I've taken it before. Safety is not a concern on the shuttle, if you stay late you might not feel too comfortable when you get off though. Resorts has one too. U can call either casino for details. Make sure you call ahead to get your name on the list. The wait can be sort of long on the weekends.

FYI - Ceasers is not in Gary, it is in the southern part of the state near Loiusville, KY. Your poker choices in Gary are Resorts and Trump.

If you're driving Chicago to Gary, the Skyway is the quickest, although not cheapest route.

Trump has shuttles leaving at 15 minutes after the even hour. I believe the first one goes at 10:15 am. They leave from Chinatown at Archer/Wentworth under the El tracks. The shuttles return to Chicago on the odd hours with the last shuttle back being at 1 am.

The shuttle ride is free, but you'll either need to have a Trump Club card or get one right after you get there to get a free return ticket.
