Re: Why be afraid to move up?
I see people push the nut flush draw all the time. Bet you would be singing a different tune if a heart fell though, right?

Re: Why be afraid to move up?
Then I could post about how I got a bad beat from some fish stacking off with a flush draw. But when I started posting here I said I would never post a bad beat story.

Re: Why be afraid to move up?
I see this mistake a lot at $25 PLO where people overvalue their top two pair on the flop. Trying to think what I would have done there. Obviously he has a strong DRAWING hand, would you guys have called the raise with what he had. I think I would have, howver, this could be a leak that I have.

[ QUOTE ]
top two pair and nut flush draw on flop, no reason to think aces, i happily shove it in. [/ QUOTE ] I have to agree. Aces are the only hand you really have to worry about. If you're up against a set of 9s, you are only a slight dog, and there is enough money already in the pot to cover that. You're favored against just about anything else, even bottom set (unless there are a lot of hearts out). On the other hand, with a pretty decent bet followed by an all-in raise, you might have to think the AA was out there. The guy going all in with just a king high flush draw, on the other hand... I guess that might depend on how the game was being played up to that point, but that certainly looks like a poor play. If gamecockspur had been playing like this previously, that would also make the A9 re-raise make more sense BTW. |
