Default my first session in a really long time....

checking up on some basics. villain seems tightish, i haven't been getting out of line too much.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, MP calls, 3 folds.

Flop: (5.33 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Turn: (3.66 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.66 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero raises?

Final Pot: 11.66 BB

FPS on the river? it sure looks like a frush to me.

Why wouldn't you raise the river?

Your hand beats the possible flush.

I would've 3-bet the turn.

That is fine. You under-represented your hand on the turn, so a checkraise is fine. If opponent is aggressive, a bet-3bet line might be better.

i haven't played a session in about 2 months, so humor me here, my card sense is lacking at the moment. when he raises the turn, what do you think a decent opponent's hand range is here?

I'd checkraise the river if he capped the turn after I 3-bet, especially if he's tightish. I'd bet intending to 3-bet if I just called the turn raise for some reason.

Slowplayed AA, KK, set of 5's, A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Kx semibluff, JTs, AJs, flush.

There aren't that many hands he can have here if he's decent, but there certainly aren't many flush hands he can have, if your read is right. A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and maybe K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and all of those will generally give you more flop action than you got.

ok, so i put him on too good a hand too quickly on the turn; what's your plan for the river if hero doesn't boat up, check-call if he caps the turn and bet-call if he just calls the 3bet?
