Default borg 1/2 underboat multileval wierdness

shitty borg 1/2 nl table last night, i have ~350 behind in the sb. a bunch of people limp and the bb is a passive fish, so i complete with j9o.

flop k j x, 2 diamonds.

i check, bb suspiciously bets 10, solid player in ep who knows me well calls, a fish calls, and i call intending to either suck out or superplay the turn, whichever seems more commonsensical at the time. and because peeling is fun.

the turn is a black jack, and i check intending to raise, because the solid player is quite aggro and will most likely bet with anyhting if bb decides to check for some reason, which i think is unlikely. anyway, bb bets 10 again, sp calls, fish folds, i make it 40 to go, bb folds on cue, sp calls hesitantly.

river is the k [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

as im thinking about what to do, sp is fingering 10 reds, and leans over to ask whether i've checked yet. i have a jack. he knows i have a jack. he knows i know this, etc, etc. i decide to check and let him bluff-value bet, because getting raised here would blow, and i really believe he intends on betting with those chips.

thoughts?

My thought is free liquor is great at B&M....

It obviously can hamper some players judgement however.

If he's a solid player, then he shouldnt be calling on the flush draw when the board pairs AND he knows you have a jack. Then again the hesitancy of the call means he might be considering it.

Anyway it's probably best to check and call here, but it would really suck to have him push because in that case you can't call. I wouldn't expect to win this one all the time but for the money in the pot already it's probably worth it.

Who is the player? I would check/call here because you don't want to get raised a large amount.

BTW, when is the next ptown borg trip? Me and scotty wanna play some 1-2 / 2-5

If it's indian matt, then it's guaranteed you're against some low random flush, right?

Also--and I can't believe I didn't ask this earlier--what are the stack sizes here? If you bet out can he raise you an uncomfortable amount?

i started with ~350 and he had ~300, leaving him enough for a push to be a slight overbet if he's raising me on the end. i figured he would bet with lots of stuff, call a value bet with a chop or the ace flush, and raise with some combination of kings and bluffs that i could most likely fold to.
