Drawing to a straight on a paired-2-suited board is kinda asking for trouble. That 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is a really ugly card.

I don't much like raising with this, and when the flop comes I wouldn't get too excited. T9s is looking to give you a big draw, not top-pair no-kicker. I'm willing to let the flush draws semi-bluff me out on occasion, it's going to save me a lot of chips when I'm against 89

Don't play Kxs in SNGs, and you'll find yourself doing better. (Obviously AKs and KQs are fine, and KJs in position can work on occasion.)

I'm not entirely sure what a 5BB UTG raise early signifies here, at least at Paradise. I play at Party and I've seen it be A8o, but that's still a hand that beats you

Semi-bluff check raises are great. What are you trying to accomplish with this one? It's not going to get him to fold. It might get you a free showdown, but you don't particularly want one of those since your hand has no showdown value. You might consider betting the river and hoping he was on the flush/straight draw here.

In a lot of these hands, you really seem to know what's going wrong. Write them off as learning experiences and make money next time

good luck.
