Default Do You Pretend the Top Flop Card is a Low Card?

Do you pretend the top card on the flop is a low card and then make your decision according to that?

He's referring to a trick mentioned in HEFAP as a way to avoid folding too many flops when playing HU.

I think you are referring to the shorthanded chapter of Holdem For Advanced Players?

I don't imagine a low card, but against certain players I'll give myself credit for almost 6 outs when there is an overcard on the board. I think the specific chapter refers to changing the Ace on a flop to a two and deciding if you should continue.
