Default Fixing leaks ...

I'm trying to fix a few leaks in my game by adjusting some 3rd street calls ... wondering if this one is loose or standard.

Hero is BI with (Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img])4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] completes, 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] calls, J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] folds, 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] calls, 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] folds

This is a 3/6 game with $0.50 ante, $1 bring-in

I guess this depends on your read of the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], if he doesn't have to have aces here to raise, but will 3 bet with them if you raise I think that may be your best play.

If he's a solid player and you don't suspect a steal a fold isn't that bad.

Pretty sure it's a call and it's not close. I'm of course assuming all your cards are live.

I'm sure your right cus you usually are, but I'm not comfortable calling on 3rd and not knowing where I am in the hand.

Well of course it's not ideal. He could have aces, after all. But you are giving up way too much by folding third. You will need to make a tough decision on fifth street, but that's how the game works. I would guess that you will have a better idea about where you stand than your opponents will.

Your right, I know i'm probably giving up some EV on some of the plays I make just to avoid those tough 5th street decisions.

Yes, and occaisonally you'll hit your Q and have a huge hidden hand that will get well paid by aces or aces up. I play along and see where we're at on 5th.
