Re: Which of These Causes You the Most Problems
I chose "Overall lack of knowledge" because to me, it is the same thing as "all of the above".

Hi Vex,
I would certainly agree with that assessment! |

Re: Which of These Causes You the Most Problems
Ok, I bit. Tilt is my #1 "issue" among the above choices. I like winning with great hands more than I like money, so a string of bad-beats can make me angry.

Re: Which of These Causes You the Most Problems
I tried to separate Tilt from Poor Discipline to force it to be a category of its own, but I suppose some lumped it into Poor Discipline and therefore chose that over Tilt.

We all thank you for your honesty. The poll is kind of useless without it.

Re: Which of These Causes You the Most Problems
"Faulty Reads" is the respectable big brother to "Tilt."
Why did I put the other guy all in when I had TPTK and there were 3 spades on the board? Because I was sure there was no way he had a flush. And even if he did, my push would surely represent to him that I had the nut flush. Boy was I stunned when he called and showed down the A-high flush himself. But was I on tilt? No sir, no sir, no sir. |

Re: Which of These Causes You the Most Problems
I picked faulty reads because I seem to be blind to straights. I'll tell myself to look for straights and after a bit I will get blindsided by another one I didn't notice. Yesterday I had pocket Aces in limit HE and the flop came A87 rainbow. Turn was a Q and river a 4. No flush possible, I had the nuts and bet like it. Never even thought of a straight coming til it was flipped over.
Funny thing was that the very next hand the guy to my left had his trip aces busted by a flush on the river and 6 hands later another set of aces was busted by another straight on the river. Not a good stretch for aces. Starbits |
