1.34 miles by car, probably more on the order of a mile by foot. If you're suggesting I walk in this weather when I don't have to, you're nuts.

[/ QUOTE ]

There is no way I would drive a mile when I could walk.

I would and have many times, but that's not really the point since he didn't drive. Would you walk a mile when you could ride a train?

Yes, I do all the time. Paying $2 and waiting for a subway is fairly pointless for 16 blocks.

What weather? It was like 30 degrees out this morning.

What do you do when it actually gets cold?

Not walk a mile when I don't have to, same as I do when it's between mild and cold.

Would this be a bad time to mention that it's a chilly 79 degrees on Oahu right now?

I cannot move into my new apt for about 6 months due to renovations, so Im splitting time at my GF's in Wash. Heights and upstate at my parents (only about 19 miles away).

I usually stay with the GF during the week but went upstate last night due to the impending strike. It was no problem as I drove in with my mother and cousin (we all work above 96th).

I did get out of the car about 20 blocks early and walked due to bad traffic on Broadway
