TPGK on monotone board
PokerPlex 50NL 6MAX(getting my free $50, are you?)
Both Players have roughly ~50 and villain has been raising a number of hands although they havent gotten to showdown yet. Seems decent, but no real reads. Maybe 15-20 hands at table. Hero is UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and calls .5 MP1 folds, MP2 raises to 2.5, all folds to hero who calls 2. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, MP bets 5, Hero raises to 14, Villain raises all in. I assume that this is a pretty clear fold, but generally should i lead or c/r a flop like this. or is c/c and lead turn a better idea. |

Re: TPGK on monotone board
I think fold is best. You are not ahead of much. I don't like a c/r on the flop- leading is best IMO.

Re: TPGK on monotone board
you're either a little ahead or a lot behind IMO. You can fold this

Re: TPGK on monotone board
I lead at it on the flop, and you can definitely lay this down.
I'm also raising pre-flop. |

Re: TPGK on monotone board
i would usually raise this preflop but i was relatively new at the table and was trying to figure out the "hustle and flow" of the table before i started doing too much

Re: TPGK on monotone board
I would just lead and fold if he raises.

Re: TPGK on monotone board
Why no PF raise? MIxinG iT uP?!
That flop c/r is really gross, I hate bluffing with TPGK. Against an unkown, there are two lines I would consider: Bet/Fold flop. Bet/Fold turn if called. Check/Call river. (all assuming no hearts hit, check/fold if they do). Check/Call Flop. Bet/Fold turn. Check/Call river. I lean toward the latter, because then we get continuation bet monies in, and make him less likely to semi-bluff the turn. |

Re: TPGK on monotone board
I lean toward the c/c flop line also. I want to get out if another heart hits the turn, and I want his odds cut in half when a non-heart hits the turn. You're just opening yourself up to a villian push here by c/r'ing which you shouldn't have done, IMO, if you weren't willing to get all-in, which you shouldn't be.
