Cellphone tax savings

Interesting article in Forbes about cell phone taxes. Apparently they are by area. Can anyone who lives in Vegas verify that you only pay 1.5% in local taxes, and 6% total? I'm in Texas and I know I pay an extra $15-20 on my cell phone bill each month. This would be a nice way of saving a bit of cash each month.
