I'm more of a handreading guy than a math/probability guy so I'd call. The flop & turn action tells me an unknown 1/2 player probably has trip 5's and it sucks that the case hit on the river. If you raise yur losing 3 when YHING and yur lucky to win 2 when YHIG.

A lone five is a strange card to see in a UTG+1 hand. A read would make this hand a lot easier.

Anyway, I'd probably keep raising and curse my luck when he turns over the case five.

I would doubt that a UTG+1 would have a 5, let alone have made trips on the flop and just call but then raise and cap after the J on the turn. I would be thinking UTG+1 had the other J so I would re-raise the river.

Having reads might help, but I would call expecting to lose to 4 of a kind, I just couldnt bring my self to lay this down unless I knew how UTG played well enough to know I was def beat...

After reading some of the other responses, I agree that reads would be alot easier because than you could tell what starting hands UTG would call a PFR with...I have seen very loose players call junk from this spot so a 5 is possible...and they could slow play their set, you never know with some players...I was also thinking UTG had either a 5 in his hand or another J because he didnt show real agg till the turn J....tough decision on the river without reads...

Most of the time you're either chopping or losing here so there is no value in raising.

Get your barf bag ready, then call.

I would just call here as well. I don't put him on a J, since he was so aggressive on the turn vs the preflop raiser. I can only see a hand with a 5 in it or 44 playing this way.
