Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
there is already a thread about this in the WPT forum.
4 flights for day 1 and then 2 flights for day 2 impresses the hell out of me. They look they are preparing for up to 8k players this year and I'm not sure they'll actually get there,. |

Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
Wow, they have really improved the structure. The 2 flights of day 2s, then a day off means that no one will be forced to play tired while their oppenents come in rested. Great change.

Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
I would have loved to see a Heads Up tourney spread over a few days, would have been a fun change.

Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
Thanks for posting this. I will probably go play some of the LHE events...
Not to jack this thread, but does anyone know from experience what the quality of play is in the low buyin LHEs? Thanks Craig |

Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
Seems to me Harrah's missed a (literally) golden opportunity to raise the buy-in for the Main Event. The market definitely could have borne $15,000, maybe even 20 or 25.

Re: WSOP 2006 Schedule Announced
Well I think they are preparing for a max of 8k. Using a 4 day, day 1, if they get 6000+, which seems reasonable, would leave it at 1500/day playing down to 800. So after 5600 this year, planning for 6k-8k seems like prudent planning.

[/ QUOTE ] Then wouldnt every buyin have to file a tax reporting form? What a pain in the ass. I had to fill one out in addition to my W2G from my WSOP $$ because I crossed over $10,000 in cash through the cage in a 24 hour period. I doubt the hassle would be worth the added $250 per player not to mention this might cut the field by 1/3. To most $10,000 is still a good chunk of change. I was disappointed to see only 1 Stud8 this year. |
