MacPoker problem with pokerroom

How in the world do I start a new session with the hand #? Whenever I enter the number (1,200,304,583) or whatever, it just blanks out. But it tries to "work" when i enter like 1 or something. Any clues?

I think you have to be "sitting in" when you enter the Hand #.
