Default AKs First hand of final table

This is my second ever final table. The first one was on saturday and looking back I think I played it a bit too quickly. So I was going to slow it down and feel it out a bit more this time.

However, 1st hand I'm dealt AKs.

Big stack has ~ 120k
I'm in 4th with ~35k but 2-5 are all about the same level.

UTG+1 limps (~20k), MP2 limps (big stack), action on me in MP3.

This is an instapush right?

I think the blinds were 2k/4k so there was already 18k in the pot (400 anty).

I know this probably sounds like a dumb ass question but I've only got a tiny tiny bit of final table experience, and adjusting to the pay structure etc is something i've not had to think about.

Still, AKs here - instapush?

Yea I would push hoping to win 4 1/2 big blinds uncontested. That could greatly enhance your chances of finishing higher.

I assume you have no reads on your opponents?

How is the payout? Are you willing to risk going out 10th for a better chance to finish first?

I puke a little bit in my mouth...and push. That 18k in the pot is an aweful nice addition to your stack, and you really don't mind a call here at all. These are hands you need to win at the final table so get your money in there.

If you're scared to push here, why play poker?

Why? No one has shown any strength here. You likely won't be called. If you are, you are at worst even money to double up. Like someone else said, you have to win these types of hands to win the tournament. Any successful MTTer will tell you you have to win races to win tournaments.

You don't mind a call, you are just as happy if you aren't.

Easy push, for the reasons given by other posters. The pot's big enough that you shouldn't feel like you're losing money not getting more extraction. The flop could easily come 259r or something. You even have a chance of doubling up if someone is limp/reraising.

I'd play AA-JJ a little differently though. Probably raise 3x the bb and hope to get heads up and push any flop.

depends how i felt about the table though.

I'm neither puking nor crying, i'm pushing while drinking champagne! I'd love a call. We're going for top 3, not top 10.

Now this is the attitude I love! I wish I could find a way to honestly feel this way.

You either:

1) do a lot of puking at the final table

2) fold your way into 7th at the final table
