Re: Can I get business cards without having a job/business
The suggestion that you can't have business cards unless you really have a job/business is one of the funniest things I have read in a while. Classic. I can just imagine the Business Card Police, tracking down all those naughty fraudsters posing as having gainful employemnt...

Of course you can, you could also have your info printed on match books. Pretty much, printers just print what you pay them too.

vistaprint is free! (~5 bucks for shipping) [/ QUOTE ] Isn't vista print one of the ones with ads on the back?? I've done the "Free" online business cards. $12 for 1000 cards >>> $5 for 150 cards with ads. |

Also, I always thought people who gave out business cards non-professionally were huge tools. -d [/ QUOTE ] This is more of the area I want to discuss. On the one hand I think having a calling card would be very cool and useful. On the other hand I think its very toolish. |

Re: Can I get business cards without having a job/business
I did this once. I went to some random web site that sold business cards. I got like 500 for $15 (I don't remember exactly, it was a few years ago).
They had a little business card template to fill out. I left the whole card blank except the lower right hand corner. It just had my first name and phone number. People thought they were hilarious. Also, first name and phone number is really all the information you want to give, right? And the white space was good if you need to write notes. (How often have you seen someone use the back of a business card to write something down?) So yeah, you can get business cards. |

It appears toolish and egotistical to me. But my opinion is very humble.
But, if you're gonna do it, what thebrick describes sounds pretty darn good. |

Re: Can I get business cards without having a job/business
My friend got ones that just said his name in the center and then just below it "Man of Leisure". No number, no address, no email, no nothing. I thought they were quite awesome. He wrote his number on them for girls.

Re: Can I get business cards without having a job/business
I was thinking about this at work and like the idea of a non-business card to hand out when asked for my number and E-mail.
So I am screwing around at work playing with MS publisher. This is what I came up with. Is it Gay? What do you think? |
