addendum - despite all that I said about the dress codes - if your friend really was "yelling and screaming", he definitely was at fault. that's pretty lame.

Everyone should be aware that a lot of nightclubs have policies which allow the girls to wear and do pretty much whatever the hell they want while the guys have to abide by stricter rules. It's shitty but that's the way it is, deal with it. Whining like a brat at the door isn't going to change the doormans mind and is just going to make the whole lot of you look like rejects. You become a beta male by association.

But honestly, sandals to a bar? My sense of fashion is terrible but even I wouldn't try and pull this disaster off.

Ugh...I've always noticed that if I go out bar-hopping with a big enough group of people, there will always be some tard in the group wearing sandals, or ripped jeans, or who shows up totally wasted etc... that is bound to prevent him from being let into a bar at some point. I'm quite convinced that half the time peopel that do this are only doing it so that they can cause a scene outside the bar when they're not permitted entry. It's an attention-whore thing.

I don't know what kind of bar this was but most bars I go to, I would be kind of pissed to run into douche bags wearing sandals on a saturday night.

I went to a bar about 2 years ago and the Eagles just got done playing a sat night game and won. So i had on my Mcnabb jersey and we went this bar. They told me i couldnt come in wearing the jersey because it had to do with gang stuff. I was like WTF do i look like im in a gang. So i had to take the jersey off and have it hang out of my pants which was ok. I think this was pretty crappy and the only reason we went to that bar is because of a girl my one friend wanted to get with. The place wasnt classy or anything just a college bar. Lets just say we never went back after this and the place has sence closed its doors.

What the doormen will let you get away with wearing is very conditional. There is one place we used to go where you had to be nicely dressed to get in: no shorts, no sneakers, no sandals, your shirt cant have any words on it.

So my buddy rolls up in a hawaiian shirt, a leather jacket, shorts and birks. He got in because he's cool and looked and acted like he belonged there.

Doorman explains that they want to get as many girls as possible, and the girls want well dressed guys. SO no men with sandals...Who is the douchebag here?

[/ QUOTE ]

All of you. It's a bar for douchebags.
