Default 6 max vs 10

I'm thinking that 6max may be better in 1/2 and 2/4 than a table full of 10 people in order to reduce the chances of callers and coldcallers hitting mad straights with 52o etc.

I have discussed my current downswing in the Psychology forum and my swing continues on 10-tables as I often get beat on the turn or river by mad draws despit trying to protect the pot by betting and isolating players through check raises.

It seems like when I employ the same strategy in 6-max, I am less likely to get beat in such a way.

Any thoughts?
