I think the fact that "of" is pronounced "ov" also helps this is exactly right. that is what is meant by the statement that the brain cannot process it. even when you stare at it visually, the brain is ignoring it because of the "ov" effect. u smart man  [/ QUOTE ] What I've been told is that you process "OF" as a single symbol, so when you try to go symbol-for-symbol looking for each "F", you skip right over "OF" as a symbol which is not equal to "F".

[/ QUOTE ] [censored], i meant to post this the other day, but did not know which forum (due to me abandoning OOT). anyway, i think you are doing an AMAZING job there. i recently saw the 'sound in laundry room' thread, and the action you took, for the reasons you stated. you were dead on as to what the "problem" is that has developed over there, and your strict hand will only make OOT the best forum once again, imo. i can't tell you how much i agree with your new policies and actions. OOT had been a fantastic forum that degenerated quickly. however, as long as you continue with the moderation, i will no doubt be back. i'm sure the OOTards could care less or are happy i don't post there, but i have never cared about what others think of me and my posts. keep up the great job. you are doing the hardest moderation of all the forums, yet also excelling with your performance.

i used my mouse to glide over each word first forward and i got three. i jumped to the front again, ran the pointer left to right and got 3. then i started at the end and went right to left and noticed immediately the F in the last OF. really freakin freaky.
