Limit or No Limit?
Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for a bit and decided to go ahead and register. I have a question for you all... I'm going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to decide which game I'd fare better in. I'd say I'm an average player, maybe a bit above average. My experience thus far in B&M's has been limited to limit games (4-8, 3-6)because I usually don't have a very large bankroll to play with, as this has been a hobby for me so far. I am trying to learn and become a better player though, and hopefully be able to make it a profitable hobby. It just seems that the limit games (low limit at least) may be harder to win because you have people who will chase their draws to the river every time, because it only costs them a few bucks to do so... which has got me thinking about trying some no limit games. Anyone gone through a similar situation or have any suggestions?
Thanks, Andy |

Re: Limit or No Limit?
Read SSH and play low limits online. People chasing cards to the river is good for you. Casinos are sloooow.

Re: Limit or No Limit?
Thanks for the reply. I've been playing some low limits online, and getting better at it. Now I'm just trying to decide which I might fare better at while I'm in Vegas. I agree that the chasers are good for me, but they can only lose X amount per hand in limit versus busting them a lot sooner in no limit.

Re: Limit or No Limit?
If you haven't played no limit, stick to playing limit in vegas.
When you get back, fire up some Party $25nl tables and rake in the cash. I find low limit NL to be far easier than limit. |
