Default Skins?

This may be a overly obvious question, but what are Party Skins I see many post referring to? I assumed that they were an overlay of some type, or maybe a different GUI (similiar to winamp or media player skins) but maybe not?

TIA, Spota

It's just different sites that share the same tables/software.
Example: Empire Poker is a skin of party poker.

Does this mean they also have the same players???

Excuse my ignorance, but My Party account does not have rakeback. If I move to a skin like Empire or Pokernow to get it, will I also be leaving all the wonderful fish at Party?? Or will it be the same 40K-70K people playing every night, just with different graphics???

Thanks for the reply.

I currenty play about 200 sng and mtt tournaments a month on Party ranging from $11-$33 buy ins. Based on that I am missing out on approx $70-$100 a month in rakeback, so I need to switch.

Can anyone out there who has played at the other Party skins (Empire, Pokernow, etc) please post some general thoughts and information about them. Ex: Quality of players vs Party, # of players playing at any given time, and most importantly and specificly, differences in the sng blind structures compared to Party.

Thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.

Actually, the party skins have the same ring game players, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they have the same SNG players as well. The difference comes in with the MTT's and bad beat jackpots, etc, which are site specific. And yes....I moved to Empire for the rakeback!
