I get KsQs UTG and raise.

She is MP with AA and reraises me.

We take the flop HU.

She went for six or seven bets on the flop before she gave it up and called me down. I showed my hand to my side of the table and we all yucked it up at her expense. Fortunately she is a good sport.

Why u raise with KQs UTG?

In a loose game....call. If you pick up 5 or 6 limpers and a raise, then reraise.

In an aggressive game UTG you muck.

In a tough game UTG you muck.

Only reason u raise b4 the flop UTG with KQs is if table is tight weak.

U want callers with KQs.

It doesn't matter how many bets it is to people, they will call you with trash anyways.

Or low limit AC poker, or low limit Foxwoods poker. I assume low limit in Cali is the same way too. Actually, they probably reraise you with 27o.

Not really a strat post but I'll give it a go.

I raise KQS UTG to get money in the pot cause I like my hand. At 3/6 B&M I am getting plenty of callers even if I raise. I happened to get heads up in this particular hand because my honey made it three.

And bunky if it was anyone but my girl I surely would have waited until the turn. It was my money anyway and I couldnt wait to wipe the smug look off her face she was so sure she had me nailed.

Realize the raise is not a raise to protect, its an equity value raise. BLOOP
