[/ QUOTE ] I recently walked out of the casino with a few chips after a dealer told me to put some in my pocket when I had to refill after moving tables and we didn't have correct change. My guess is his friend did something similar.

It's a trek just to get to the cages.

In the case of the Commerce $1 chips, they are actually more expensive than their value in cash, ie they cost more than $1 each. This of course is not true of any higher denomination chips.

Our local rioom doesn't have a box rental so I walked out the door. They don't really care. Now if it was a rack of $500 cheques I'm sure there would be an issue, they tend to tracks those closely.
