With a read, I would make this play all the time. But given no read, I have to put his range to any pair between 44 and QQ, and most 2 big diamonds.

Player 1- QQ-44,AdKd,AdQd,AdJd,AdTd,KdQd,KdJd,KdTd,QdJd,QdTd,Jd Td,78s
Player 2- QQ

Your equity against his hand range is 60%. He could also have a lot more hands then this. He could have a hand like A6s/o, A7s/o or 33, or something else along those lines. I just cant imagine laying this down. Given his shallow stack, your pushing here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you play this limit?

The fold is fine.

I would probably call, bet the turn and fold to a raise.

And what about when he leads the turn, which he will do 90% of the time?

WHAT THEN?!?

i would usually check the flop

Interesting what's your plan for:

a) LP bet, folded to you?
b) LP bet 1 caller to you?
c) LP bet and c/r to you? (fold, I suppose)
d) checks through, BB leads?

Just curious.

I would almost never check here because of all the draws on the board.... but maybe that's more of a reason TO check, and hope for a blank turn card.

After BB's c/r a fold is pretty standard. Slightly ahead or way behind situation.

i would usually check the flop and folding to the CR is incredibly easy.

I would check the flop, too, but you do have something, it's just no good on the flop.

there you go... How can you protect your hand here. You cant, but, you can be blown off the best hand and/or play a big pot with little equity. Whee!

Heh... my option d pretty much sucked there... shoulda broken it down into cases.

Anyway, your explanation pretty much hit on what I was thinking you might say, and may have significant impact on my overpair play in the future.

How few players before this turns back into a bet? (Does it turn back into a bet?)

I rarely fold overpairs, and like I said earlier, I push over the top most of the time. Either I'm a huge fish or I play a style that makes it a bad idea to dump an overpair to aggression on such a drawy board in an inflated pot. I'm not sure which one it is; I'll have to get a lot more hands to figure it out.

ok, flaweless, so here i am on the turn.
assuming i don't push the flop, that is. btw if i push the flop i'm either way behind or BARELY ahead.
so, the turn, i've called his $600 raise.
he bets at me, like somone said, 90% of time, raise all in?
i know it's the obvious play, but is it the smartest?
(i guess by the time we get to the turn he's so committed i have to call.........right?)
if i call his raise, then what on should i be trying to do on the turn?
this is such a gray area for me, i need to improve in these spots.
