Re: rough KK hand, whats the best line
First: There's SB, you in UTG+1 and UTG+3...who's the fourth? Jetset doesn't make you play against a ghost, does it?
Second: Ok, don't make this a poll. This is a stupid poll. Since you folded, I think he had AAT in his hand, for the flopped boat. Granted, it means he had 3 cards in his hand, but we all know that Internet poker is rigged. Third: Look around and see if you can't find one of the thousands of other "pocket-KK/QQ/JJ when an ace flops" hands. That's a good starting place. Finally: In a nutshell, in the absence of a read you check/call down. The pot's big, you're out of position, and you have no way to put the guy on a hand that beats you with sufficient certainty to fold. The end. |

Re: rough KK hand, whats the best line
Betting out is counterproductive. You want to check-call so you lose the minimum when he has Ax or TT, but win the max when he has QQ, JJ, etc. By betting on that flop you might send a smaller pair packing which is not what you want to do. You want a showdown, and to have the villain be betting a large enough range of hands so there's some chance you're not drawing slim.
If there's a bet and a raise from anyone it's an easy fold postflop. |

I have this bookmarked for the next time you start a "tricky" QQ KK hand.
