Default Strategy - Stop n\' Go

Hey, can someone here tell me what is needed to set a play like this. I understand what it means but I'm a little fuzzy on situation that warrants the play. From what I know, you should only do this with a few players while holding a real good hand, something like top two or a set. Also, I would use this against someone who's aggressive so I can 3bet if he decides to raise. Against someone who's loose passive I'm betting all the way.

I'm more interested on the flop situations. Hopefully I don't get flamed by my post since it sounds a little to basic, but I'll willing to take shots and hopefully learn something along the way. Thanks
