Default Best portable GPS unit

There are three brands that are $599. Any have any feedback. I am going to be moving this unit between two vehicles.

I've tried Trimble, Garmin, and Lawrence GPS units all around that price range, except the Trimble which was much more. The Garmin was the best for simple car nav.

If you have a laptop that fits in your car nicely get Delorme Street Atlas software and their usb gps antennae.
