[ QUOTE ]
this denies the information that he only called our turn raise and has now bet/3-bet the river.

ie. why would he not 3-bet the turn with just trip kings yet 3-bet the river with them?

[/ QUOTE ][ QUOTE ]
Then why didn't he go ape-[censored] on the turn? Why save it for the river? Villian knows we have a trips, and its not slowing him down. I'd have a hard time capping the river considering the action of the previous streets

[/ QUOTE ]
If he has my trips-top-kicker beat, why didn't he go nuts from the jump? How the hell should I know? Maybe he thinks he's catching our hand in the cookie jar with J/J?

This is the problem I have when I play fish. I expect them to play rationally. If Villain was anyone on this board and could beat A/K in this situation, you would have capped the turn in a heartbeat. Then I would have accepted the possibility of being behind and would have backed off on the river.

The only other explanation I have for his strange turn/river play is that he had K/7, boated up on the turn, and is doing the fishy-patented "wait a street" move.

And though it's past editing time, in an above post I obviously meant "I have top kicker, there can't be a chop unless he also has A/K."

Obviously.

Then you weren't beating me on the turn.

K/Q and K/7 are the only hands I realistically fear (and I'm casting a wide net with "realistically" in terms of K/7), so why shouldn't I cap? There are three hands I lose to, one I chop with, and eight I beat. Just in terms of hand distribution alone, capping should be +EV.

Ah.

That makes sense, given what he was actually holding:

Results in white below:
marchron shows Kh As (three of a kind, Kings)
BB shows Kc 2c (full house, Kings full of Deuces)
Outcome: BB wins 15.75 BB.
