fwiw i never liked beer or wine really. i can drink them but i don't care about them at all. when i drank more i just drank straight vodka. you get used to it after a while. i went to bartending school to just to find things that i would like to drink while i learned something. vodka tonics/gimlets are fairly good 'hard intros' probably, move to gin from there.

I love Jack, but alot of bars around where I am don't serve it for shots (wtf?). Because of that I've had to get lesser whiskey and have found that it goes down far smoother that Jack does, so maybe that'll help you. I reccomend trying to acquire the taste for Jack though, it's awesome. Never mix it. Not even ice, it's just not right.

i bought a bottle of maker's mark for a christmas gift and i'm so completely tempted to open it right now. it's an exchange thing where everybody brings a $20 like gift, draw numbers, and then the person who comes up can take a random unopened box or steal one that is already opened. i always bring stuff i really want so that i can angle for it if all the other [censored] is just dremel accessories and snake lights.
