WSOP- No party poker apparel?
Didn't Kanter and Black qualify on party? yet neither wears any party clothing (black was actually wearing full tilt gear) Meanwhile, there are stars and full tilt gear everywhere you look. Just think this is kinda funny.

Re: WSOP- No party poker apparel?
Not sure about Black (I can't tell from the CardPlayer images), but Kanter wore a Party Poker shirt at the final table. Supposedly right after he made the final table, they made an offer of something in the neighborhood of a few hundred thousand to wear their gear, he briskly declined, and demanded 2 million. They came back to his hotel room not long before the final table was about to start with a shiny new contract. All that for less than 2 hours of TV publicity. Ridiculous, no?

I recall reading somewhere that Black said Party didn't treat him right about something, so he switched over to FTP.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't remember the details, but I think it was that Party basically didn't say "boo" to him the whole WSOP and then as soon as he makes the final table (or was close to it, maybe), they show up, drooling all over him. He also seemed pretty tight with the FTP players. I might be wrong, but I think it was something like that. |

That pretty much sums up what I read, figures Party would mess something up like that.

Re: WSOP- No party poker apparel?
Did Full Tilt offer a $10 million bonus if someone wore Full-Tilt gear and won the main event?
I wonder if that had anything to do with it? |

I made a ESPN final table in one of the preliminary events and the day of the final table, Marco Trianello (he was in that FT also) advised me to talk with the Full Tilt guys since they could give me some money to wear their stuff. Problem was they needed per Harrahs rules to have your name before the event in order for Harrahs to allow it; since I didnt sign with them before the event I wasn't able to do it. Maybe they changed the rules for the ME but that is really unlikely; and the name of Andy Black should have been for sure in the Party Poker list. I wonder how he was able to wear the Full Tilt gear. |

If Kanter really was able to bag a 2 mil contract to wear the PP gear, he is now officially the man.
