Default Seattle-area microposters!

Hey,

It's a little short notice, but in another thread Wookie mentioned that he'll be in town over Thanksgiving weekend, so it would be very cool if we could gather some other locals for drinks/poker/both. (Since we're micro-folks, the poker should be as low limit as we can get it, probably meaning Skyway Park or Goldies. Other ideas welcome.)

I'm not available Friday evening, but I'm clear on Saturday. Seattle is a frickin' poker hotbed, so there have to be some micro-denizens about (even lurkers would be welcome, providing they have decent personal hygiene).

Wookie himself hasn't agreed to this yet, but how could he not?

I'm actually not at all familiar with the Seatown poker scene. The only thing I'm at all familiar with is the Muckelshoot, where we took my little bro for his 21st. He did some of the -EV table games and won a fair amount before hitting up the poker tables. Unfortunately, I had to leave before he started playing. He busted, though. He and I were both pretty fishy at the time.

Anyway, with that not-very-interesting story out of the way, where are these places?

Seattle does have quite a poker scene - when someone starts a thread in the B&M forum it can get quite lengthy (I know none of those folks, though). Seattle itself prohibits cardrooms, but Washington has allowed them for a long time, so the north and south city limits are packed with them.

Goldies is a "minicasino" (non-tribal casino with table games) north of Seattle on Aurora (99). It's like a sportsbar with gambling. They primarily spread 3/6. Skyway Park is a bowling alley with a minicasino just south of town, and they have 2/4 limit there. The tribal casinos are bigger and nicer, but they tend to favor higher limits and they're further from town.

I'd probably favor Goldies, but I'm open to anywhere folks want to go - if we all were to trek down to the Muck or up to Tulalip (smoke free) that would even be fine with me.

Speaking of which, surely there must be some of those folks around...

Hey, also from Seattle here. Only played at Goldie's, Drift on Inn, and Kenmore Lanes though because I'm still 18. Do pretty well at them, those games are fun, and everyone is pretty nice. Especially like the Drift's dark musky feel.

I will be hosting a home game in the near future with Dids, Guy on Tilt, nolanfan, and perhaps others. Anyone interested should look in the B&M forum.

I go to school in tacoma but alas, am going home for thanksgiving (until sunday). however, two of my housemates who posts here (mvcode3 and mrfeelnothin) will be around and looking to play. Rob, i think one of them responded to the B&M post re: a seattle gathering this weekend.

ok guys,
Me, Irish Pint and Mrfeelnothin all live in Tacoma and are down to either host a cash game/drink off or a lagfest at any of the local casinos (muckelshoot, chips, silver dollar ect)over this break we got wed-sun off and were down any day. For a home game im not sure what stakes you guys are thinking but we can work it out. if your guys want to do tournaments we can work that out also.
