Default Re: Crazy AA no raise

Wow this thread is weird as its right outta my head

Last night playing 1/2 full at Paradise I got on a doozy of a table. A table full of loose players. Not one of them was under 30% VPIP and 3 of them were over 60% (I refer to these 3 as the fish further in). Avg pot at this table was 10BB.

I am UTG+1 with Red Aces. UTG raises. He might be tilting a bit becuase he has been doing some table coaching in chat when he gets sucked out.

3-bet of course I think, but then I get into Fancy play mode and think that I know the 3 fish will probably call 2 cold, but dont know if they will do 3 cold and I really want them in the hand becuase I know they will call down with anything.

So I cold call (First time I have ever not raises pf with Aces). 3 fish cold call. Couple others in the pot.

Flop is all hearts. I lose a 25BB pot to fish in MP1 who was holding T6s.

So of course I now have to question whether or not my not raising was good or bad. Did it matter? He called 2, would he have called 3?

You could pretty much ignore all advice you ever hear at a live poker table and be much, much better off.

Agreed. I had some guy lecturing me the other day about how bad I was at poker. I raised with 99 on the button with 5 or 6 limpers. Then I made a set on the flop and capped. He had KK, so I beat him. After the hand he said "you idiot, you were only 4 to 1". I responded with "what?". And he said "pre-flop". Should have buddy-listed that guy.
